How we handle your information.
This site collects very little, and we would rather say so plainly than bury it in legal language. Here is what happens when you visit, and how to opt out.

Who we are
Forum for Naturals (FFN) is an invite-only peer community for senior marketing and sustainability leaders at established natural CPG brands. It was founded by Ted Ning, and he is the person to contact about anything on this page.
This policy covers the public pages of www.forumfornaturals.com. The members-only portal you reach through Member Login is a separate system with its own sign-in; questions about it are welcome at the same address below.
What this site collects
Two things happen on this site that involve your information: usage analytics, and the email forms. Nothing else is collected.
Usage analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used: which pages are viewed, roughly where visitors are located (city or region level), what kind of device and browser they use, how they arrived, and which links and buttons are used, such as Request an Invitation, an email link, or a link to another site. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser (their names begin with _ga) to tell one visit apart from another; Google documents these as lasting up to two years. We do not add your name, email, or any other identifying detail to this data.
Email forms. Every form on this site, including Request an Invitation, the contact form, and the newsletter sign-up, opens your own email app with a message addressed to us. The website itself does not store what you type. Whatever you choose to send arrives in our inbox as an ordinary email, from your address.
Why we collect it
We keep the reasons short because the list is short.
Analytics tells us which pages are useful and which are not, so we can improve the site.
Email from you lets us review an application, answer a question, or keep you posted on news and events, which is what you asked for when you wrote to us.
What we do not do
We do not sell your personal information.
We do not run advertising on this site, and we do not use advertising or retargeting cookies.
We do not share what you email us with anyone outside FFN, except where you ask us to (for example, an introduction to another member or an agency).
Services we rely on
Two companies process data on our behalf to run this site.
Google Analytics (Google LLC) provides the usage analytics described above. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy, and its cookie details are published on its cookie usage page.
Vercel Inc. hosts the site. Like any web host, Vercel may process technical details such as your IP address and browser type as part of serving pages and keeping the site secure.
This site also links out to other companies, such as LinkedIn and the websites of agencies in our showcase. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and this one does not cover them.
How to opt out
You can use every page on this site with analytics switched off. Any of these works:
Install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, which stops Google Analytics from collecting data in that browser on every site, not just ours.
Block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Every major browser lets you refuse third-party cookies, clear existing ones, or block them for specific sites.
Use a content or tracker blocker. The site works normally with analytics blocked.
This site does not act on the Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals your browser can send. We would rather say so than imply a control we do not honor; the options above work regardless of either setting.
To stop hearing from us by email, reply to any message and say so. We will take you off the list.
How long we keep it
Analytics data is held by Google for the retention period set in our Google Analytics account, then deleted or aggregated. Cookies set by Google Analytics stay in your browser until they expire or you clear them; the expiry is set by Google and described on its cookie usage page linked above.
Email you send us is kept as ordinary business correspondence for as long as we need it to respond to you and to run the community. If you would like us to delete what you have sent, ask and we will.
Where we operate
This site is operated from the United States and is intended for business professionals. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Changes to this policy
If the site starts collecting something new, this page will say so and the effective date at the top will change. We will not quietly expand what we collect.
